Job Purpose

As a Children’s Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering engaging and spiritually enriching lessons to our children and youth. Your role is pivotal in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where young minds can explore their faith and grow spiritually.

Key Responsibilities

Lesson Preparation:

  • Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that align with our church’s teachings and values.
  • Create engaging and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable for children and youth.

Classroom Leadership:

  • Lead Sunday School classes, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere where children feel valued and encouraged.

Spiritual Guidance:

  • Share biblical stories and teachings that promote spiritual growth and understanding.
  • Encourage discussions and questions that help children deepen their faith.

Safety and Care:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your supervision.
  • Provide care and support to children as needed, creating a nurturing environment.

Parent Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, providing updates on children’s progress and any important information.
  • Collaborate with parents to support children’s spiritual development.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with other Sunday School teachers and coordinators to enhance the overall Sunday School program.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.

Continuous Learning:

  • Stay informed about educational trends, teaching techniques, and resources to enhance your teaching skills.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A strong personal commitment to Christian faith and values.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children or youth in an educational or religious setting is a plus.

  • A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
