Purpose

The Outreach Department exists to fulfil the Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20, which is to ‘go and make disciples of all nations.’ Our purpose is to:

Share the Gospel: We aim to share the good news of Jesus Christ with those who have not yet heard or accepted Him as their Saviour.

Serve the Needy: We are called to meet the practical needs of the less fortunate, providing food, shelter, clothing, and support to those in need.

Build Relationships: We strive to build meaningful relationships with individuals and communities, demonstrating God’s love through our actions and words.

Discipleship: We are committed to making disciples by teaching and equipping believers to grow in their faith and walk with Christ.

Community Engagement: We actively engage with our local community, seeking to be a source of hope, healing, and transformation.

Job Purpose

The Protocol Officer plays a crucial role in creating an inviting, secure, and spiritually enriching environment for both first-time visitors and regular attendees. This role involves overseeing the execution of high-quality experiences during regular services and special events, ensuring that all attendees feel welcomed, valued, and connected to the church community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Volunteer Coordination:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise event volunteers, ensuring they are equipped to support event operations.
    • Assign tasks and responsibilities to volunteers based on their skills and availability.
  • Retention Strategies:
    •  Develop and implement strategies to retain event attendees and engage them in the church’s ongoing activities.

    • Create post-event communication plans to keep participants informed and involved.

    • Establish loyalty programs, memberships, or incentives to encourage continued engagement with the church

Education

  • N/A

Experience

  • Experience in hospitality, event management, or a similar role, preferably within a church or nonprofit context.

  • A genuine passion for creating warm and welcoming environments for all attendees.

  • Ability to handle pressure and multitask, especially during large events or high-attendance services.
